Youth programs, camps set
at Sweden/Clarkson Rec. Center

The Sweden/Clarkson Recreation Center has announced the following programs, tournaments and camps:

Applications are being accepted for Summer Camp 2005. Students who enjoy working with kids, have leadership skills and are looking for a fun summer job with the Recreation Department are being sought. Contact the Sweden/Clarkson Recreation Center at 431-0090 or stop by and fill out an application.

Join the Sweden/Clarkson Recreation Center for their first annual holiday volleyball tournament. The tournament will be held on Tuesday, December 28 and Wednesday, December 29 starting at 6 p.m. Teams of four are needed. We will guarantee four matches for the tournament. The cost is $50.

Croc Roc's Break Camp at the Sweden/Clarkson Recreation Center can help keep the kids entertained during school breaks. The camps will be: December 27-30 from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. $25 per day, $75 for the week and February 21-25 from 6:30 a.m. to 6: p.m. $25 per day, $90 for the week.

The Sweden/Clarkson Recreation Center is holding early sign-ups for S/C Baseball and Softball for Summer 2005. Please sign-up by January 31 for a spot on a team. COED T-Ball U-6 (ages five and six) - Wednesday/Saturday, May-June, $40; COED Juniors U-8 (ages seven and eight) Tuesday/Thursday and Saturday, May-June $40; Boys Minor U-10 (ages nine and 10) -Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday, May-June, $60; Boys Major U-12 (ages 11 and 12) -Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday, May-June $60. Girls Minor U-10 (ages nine and 10) - Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday, May-June, $60; and Girls Major U-12 (ages 11 and 12) -Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday, May-June, $60. All home games will be played at Sweden Town Park on Redman Road. Local Travel is required for minor and majors. Age as of July 31, 2005 determines proper division of play. Early season practices will be held at the S.C.C.C.

Boys U-8 (ages seven and eight - Monday/Wednesday, June-July, $45; Boys U-10 (ages nine and 10) Monday/Wednesday, June-July, $45; Boys U-13 (ages 11, 12, and 13) - Monday/Wednesday, June-July $50; Girls U-8 (ages seven and eight) -Tuesday/Thursday, June-July $45; Girls U-10 (ages nine and 10) - Tuesday/Thursday, June-July, $45; Girls U-13 (ages 11, 12, and 13) - Tuesday/Thursday, June-July, $50 and Tot U-6 (ages five and six) - Monday, June-July $30.

Local travel is required for U-8, U-10 and U-13. Age as of July 31, 2005 determines proper division of play. Tot, U-8 and U-10 will receive participation awards. U-13 awards for first and second in regular season and playoffs.
