C-C Leo Club donates to Lakeside
Lakeside Health System received a unique donation of 300 pounds of pop can tabs from the Churchville-Chili Leo Club. The donation adds to the "Pop Your Top for Lakeside" fundraiser which started in 2002. Donations of pop can tabs are collected and recycled. Proceeds benefit Lakeside. The Churchville-Chili Leo Club started collecting pop can tabs three years ago. To date the club has collected 300 pounds of tabs. The tabs are collected at the Churchville-Chili Junior and Senior High Schools, the Riga-Newman Library, or any Churchville Lions Club member. The Leo Club is eight years old and is sponsored by the Churchville Lions Club to introduce students in grades 7 thru 12 to community service activities. The Leo Club is also an active participant in Max's Mardi Gras Parade and the Westside Cancer Relay for Life. Above, students Sean Hardy and Fred Dean, along with Churchville Lion Club member Martin Molinari, present donation of 300 pounds of pop can tabs to Cora Goyette, Donor Relations director at Lakeside Health System.
