Lakeside's young patients receive treats

Lakeside's young patients will receive special treats this holiday season and throughout the year thanks to several children in the community who donated toys to Lakeside. A group of local families have involved their children in the gift of giving by donating toys to be distributed to young patients treated at Lakeside Memorial Hospital. "We feel it's important for our children to learn to help others. My child received a toy while a patient at Lakeside, and it helped make the experience a little easier. Our children want to help cheer up other children in the hospital," said Cheryl Smith, mother of two of the children.
