Pick-A-Pumpkin major fundraiser for March of Dimes
Mike Ward of Ward Management LLC, owner of Holley Jubilee, Spencerport IGA and Towne Plaza IGA in North Chili and other grocery stores, received a letter of congratulations from March of Dimes Community Director Kate Gruschow. The letter read in part, "On behalf of the March of Dimes, thank you for raising a phenomenal $4,057 in the 2004 Pick-A-Pumpkin campaign. I appreciate and admire your willingness to participate in this fundraiser. Your five locations represent 40 percent of the total monies raised throughout our nine county area. It is because of your participation that we were able to meet and exceed our goal. We would not have succeeded if it weren't for you. The funds raised will be used to fund research and community programs that help families in our community have healthy babies."
"Every year, there is increased success with Pick-A-Pumpkin and a heightened awareness regarding the work of our foundation to prevent birth defects and infant mortality. This is because of you and the support you give to the March of Dimes."
