Schwind, Fose score in Cadets' loss

Trailing 3-0 with less than ten minutes remaining in the final period, Hilton's Erik Schwind and then Jon Fose each scored goals, but the Cadets could not get the equalizer in a 3-2 loss to Aquinas in high school hockey.

Chris Lacek, Eric Wilson and Billy Lemen staked the Little Irish to their 3-0 lead before the Cadets got a power play goal from Schwind. Joe Christiano and Jason Drummey did the work along the boards and behind the net to set up the goal.

Six minutes later and with just 29 seconds remaining in regulation, Fose banged home the puck with assists from Christiano and Schwind. The Cadets pulled goaltender Jake Burge for a final chance, but could not convert. Burge made 24 saves in net stopping eleven shots in the first period and all six in the third.

Penalties plagued Hilton's ability to generate an attack with 12 minors and one major being assessed - most for illegal contact to the head. Hilton suffered their first loss in division play and now trail Irondequoit and Aquinas.
