Spencerport kindergarten forum set for Jan. 6

Because of the number of requests from parents wishing to voice their opinion about a full-day kindergarten option in the Spencerport Central School District, a second Kindergarten Forum has been scheduled for Thursday, January 6, at 7 p.m. in the Canal View Elementary School Library. In case of inclement weather, the forum will be held on January 10.

"Not everyone who wished to speak at our November forum had a chance to voice their opinion because of the large number of speakers. We want to give everyone a chance to be heard," said Jim Alexander, chair of the committee that will make a recommendation to Superintendent Phillip W. Langton this winter. The committee, composed of administrators, teachers, parents and community members, has conducted research and visited other school districts this fall as part of its decision-making process.
