Genesee Center for the Arts hosts performing arts day
The Genesee Center for the Arts will hold its first "Performing Arts Day" on Thursday, January 27 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Local high school students, drama directors and guidance counselors are invited to attend.
This free event is important for students because many of them are at a pivotal point in their high school careers, deciding on which college to attend and they may not be aware of the number of ways that participation in the theatre can enhance a college career and their resume.
Students will be able to observe instructors from the performing arts department and will witness first-hand the disciples of theatre arts including acting, directing, stage craft and musical theatre. Instructors and students will be available throughout the day to answer questions, give tours and demonstrate techniques.
Reservations for Performing Arts Day can be made by calling the Genesee Center for the Arts Box Office at 585-345-6814.
