Color Guard show Jan. 15 in Holley

The Holley Sports Boosters and the Empire Winter Guard co-sponsor a NECGC Competition at Holley High School on January 15, at 6:30 p.m.

Competing will be 16 Color Guards from New York state and Canada, including local competitors from Gates Chili High School, Eastridge High School, The Patriots Winter Guard and Empire Winter Guard. Also competing will be Ventures Color Guard from Kitchner, Canada; Niagara Falls High School; Waterloo High School; Jamestown High School; Spectrum Winter Guard; Naples High School; Effervescence Winter Guard, East Aurora, New York; Hindsdale High School; Laurens High School and Rainbow Winter Guard.

Guards are judged in four categories: individual analysis - equipment; individual analysis - movement or dance: ensemble analysis and overall general effect. A perfect score would be 100 points.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Admission is $5.
