St. Luke's choir offers Compline service

St. Luke's Episcopal Church Choir will offer a Compline service Wednesday nights at 8:30 p.m. Everything will be chanted or sung in the brief service and there will also be moments for silence and reflection.

At the beginning of the sixth century, St. Benedict installed Compline as the final hour of a day marked out in prayers. The Compline service sung by St. Luke's choir echoes the ancient qualities of simplicity, restfulness, and timelessness of text and tune.

St. Luke's is on the corner of Main and State Streets in the Village of Brockport. The Compline service will be held each Wednesday until March 27.
