Kristin Glazier, a senior at Byron-Bergen High School, won a student essay contest sponsored by the Lakeside Foundation and was introduced to United States Army General Tommy Franks at the Lakeside Foundation's Annual Gala on December 10. She also received an autographed copy of his book, American Soldier. Glazier's essay described her experiences as a volunteer in her community and school.
