Holley grapplers dominate

With seven pins in fifteen matches, Holley had little trouble beating Attica 64-18 in boy's wrestling to improve their record to 6-0 this season.

For the Hawks, Matt Banks won via pin in 3:11 at 96 lb., Brett Underwood in 1:17 at 103 lb., Josh Ornt in 1:23 at 130 lb., Matt Denning in 5:24 at 152 lb., Rob McElwain in :30 at 171 lb., Justin Corona in 1:12 at 189 lb. and Lucas Doty in :31 at 275 lb.

At 119 lb., Abe Miller was losing his match 2-1 before registering a second period reverse and gaining another point on a technical violation for a 4-2 victory over Dylan Dabott, who qualified for the state tournament last year.

Justin Widrig picked up a 2-0 win at 125 lb. and Key McPherson shutout his opponent 10-0 at 145 lb. Sam Miller (140 lb.) and Ron Ryan (215 lb.) won via forfeit.
