transportation project available for review
The Genesee Transportation Council (GTC) is making the Draft 2005-2010 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Update for the Rochester Transportation Management Area (TMA) and the GTC TIP Planning Region available for public review through Tuesday, February 22. The GTC TIP Planning Region is comprised of the following seven counties: Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Wayne and Wyoming.
The TIP identifies the timing and funding of all highway, bridge, transit, bicycle and pedestrian transportation projects scheduled for implementation in the region during the next five years using federal transportation funds.
The 2005-2010 TIP will include transportation projects funded with approximately $400 million of federal aid, supplemented by other state and local sources of funds. This region's TIP is developed cooperatively by GTC and the New York State Department of Transportation.
In conjunction with the 30-day public review period, four public meetings are scheduled to review and solicit public input on the Draft 2005-2010 TIP Update. The meeting in this area will be Monday, February 7 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ogden Town Hall, 269 Ogden Center Road.
Oral and written comments will be accepted at the public meetings. Written comments may also be submitted to GTC, 50 West Main Street, Suite 8112, Rochester, New York 14614 or via email to: tipcomment@gtcmpo.org. Comments will be accepted through February 22.
