Ogden home destroyed by fire

On February 5, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Spencerport firefighters were called to Brewerton Drive for a house fire. One quint (ladder truck) from Chili was called to the scene to assist.

No one was home at the time of the fire; neighbors called 911 when heavy smoke was seen coming from the house.

Despite an aggressive interior attack, the house was a total loss. Two cats and a dog were lost in the blaze and a family of three has been displaced.

Firefighters were on the scene until 3 a.m. Investigators have not determined a cause of this fire.

Brockport, Hilton and Churchville filled in at Spencerport's three stations until equipment was back in service from the fire.
