Enchanted Gardens is theme of GardenScape
The GardenScape Professionals Association, a not-for-profit organization and producers of GardenScape, Greater Rochester's Flower & Garden Show, has announced the theme for the 2005 show to be held March 17-20 at the Dome Center in Henrietta. "Enchanted Gardens" is the theme which will feature more than 20 'enchanting' gardens, over 80 vendors and daily seminars by horticultural experts.
Daily seminars will feature Cathy Miller, dried flower designer; JoAnn Gardner, author, writer and lecturer will speak on herbs and silver-leaved plants; Lee Reich, gardener, writer and lecturer will be sharing his knowledge on unusual fruits; and Ken Parker, a Seneca native, focuses on working to restore, preserve and maintain the pre-European plant species indigenous to North America.
A preview reception, A Taste of Spring, to benefit the Epilepsy Foundation, will be held on Wednesday, March 16 at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 and are available by calling (585) 442-4430 or online at www.epilepsy-uny.org.
The Early Bird Garden Tour and Continental Breakfast allows guests to view the gardens and talk with landscape professionals and gardening experts. The Early Bird Tour will be held Saturday, March 19 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Advance sale tickets are $25 and include tour, continental breakfast and all day admission to GardenScape '05.
