Greeters, dockmasters needed

Volunteers are needed to act as greeters and dockmasters at the new Village of Brockport Community Visitors Center on the canalfront. They will meet visitors to Brockport, help them get oriented, give them access to the restrooms, showers and laundry machines in the Welcome Center and collect overnight docking fees. Volunteers will be expected to help keep the canalfront neat and orderly, but will not do cleaning or yard work. Volunteers will serve two-hour shifts between 2 and 10 p.m. for the May-October season.

Volunteers will be supplied with Brockport tee shirts, caps and pins. Orientation sessions will be offered. Individuals can also be included in the policy-making process for managing the canalfront.
