Awards were presented to MacKenzie Martin and Jessica Lovering by Lion 20E-1 District Governor Peter Niedrauer at the February 22 Churchville Lions dinner meeting held at Naughton's Johnson House in Churchville. Martin's and Lovering's Peace Poster entries, winners in local competition at the junior high and intermediate schools in November 2004, were advanced to district competition. The district is comprised of 44 Lions Clubs and 9 Lioness Clubs. Martin's poster placed first and Lovering's placed third. Martin received a $100 savings bond and Lovering a $50 savings bond plus certificates of achievement from the district for their efforts. This is the third consecutive year that the entries from the Churchville Lions Club have placed in the top three positions at the district level and the second year in a row that Martin's poster placed first. |
