Community invited to bid on their favorites
at Ogden Library Silent Auction
The bid price might be right for someone to take home a needed service or sought after product at a Silent Auction running March 18 through April 1 at the Ogden Farmers' Library. On the final day, April Fool's Day, at noon, a variety of items will go to the highest bidders, often at bargain prices for the purchasers.
To participate, check out the area inside the library where the auction items are displayed. Choose from a unique and diverse list which includes restaurant certificates, golf coupons for area courses, computer training, furnace cleaning, hair salon services and products donated by area merchants and service providers.
The cooperative fundraiser is sponsored by the library and the Spencerport Kiwanis Club which share the proceeds to augment library services and to support community projects.
It's easy to participate - stop in and fill out a bid ticket. Keep an eye on how your bid is doing and see if the bid on the desired item needs to be raised by stopping back during the two week auction. Final bids must be in by noon April 1; bidders do not need to be present and winners can be notified by phone. The broad range of items offered generates interest from all age levels and contributes to the success of the event.
A list of those who have donated goods and services is printed in the Suburban News. Bid once, twice or more, before what you want is going, going, gone.
