Seminar planned for parents
on the needs of gifted children
Parents are invited to a free seminar presented by Dr. James Webb, educator, author and psychologist, entitled, "Guiding the Gifted Child." BOCES 2's Division of Gifted and Talented Education is sponsoring the seminar on April 6 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Twelve Corners Middle School auditorium, 2643 Elmwood Avenue, Brighton. The presentation will explore the characteristics of gifted children as they relate to their social/emotional needs, interpersonal skills and will focus on issues such as motivation, disciple, perfectionism, stress, depression, and communication of feelings. Refreshments will be served and a question and answer period will follow the presentation. The seminar is free and targeted for parents, but all are welcome.
