Hilton raises money through jump rope-a-thon

"It is very apparent that Hilton has heart," said Judith Roll, former District Jump Rope-A-Thon for Heart coordinator. Roll is stepping down from this volunteer job after 20 years. "When I initiated this event, I never imagined we would raise as much money as we have and make so many parents and children heart smart."

Students in Hilton have raised $163,135. Last year $5,665 was raised for the American Heart Association. High money earner was Nick Farese who brought in $300.

The Hilton Jump Rope-A-Thon will be held on Saturday, April 2 at the Hilton High School gymnasium. Permission slips are available from any physical education teacher. Call Shannon Ingles or Stacy Chiarmonte at 392-1000 for information.
