Rhinos owners speak to area residents

At the March 23 Brockport Kiwanis meeting held at the SUNY Brockport Cooper Union, Chris Economides and Steve Donner, co-owners of the Rochester Raging Rhinos Soccer team, spoke to over 50 local residents. The Brockport Kiwanis Club hosted this special event to help make Brockport residents more aware of the Rhinos organization and its contribution to community life. They talked about the team's successes, winning the 1999 U.S. Open Cup and the three A League championships and bringing the national soccer starts including Mia Hamm and Amy Wambach to Rochester. They discussed, in detail, the bringing back of professional soccer to the greater Rochester area and the potential impact of the new Paetec soccer stadium for the area.
