First-grader wins award
Aurora Coleman, a first-grade student in Donna Rose's classroom at Fairbanks Road Elementary School, was presented with a Do the Right Thing Award from the Rochester Police Department. Her grandmother, Floy Kilburn, nominated her for the award. Coleman donated her hair to Locks of Love in honor of her grandparents, both of whom were receiving cancer treatment. She felt her hair would help some little girl who might be going through cancer treatment, too.
