Holley Fitness Center Grand Opening set for April 13

Holley School District will be unveiling its new Fitness Center to the community on Wednesday, April 13 at 7 p.m. at Holley High School, 3800 North Main Street. The Physical Education Department has been able to purchase many new pieces of equipment thanks to the $392,000 Carol M. White Physical Education Program (PEP) Grant from the U.S. Department of Education that was awarded to Holley School District last year. Elements include rock climbing walls, two new fitness rooms, inline skates, snow shoes, cross country skis, mountain bikes, Polar heart rate watches, and TriFit Assessment Systems.

Visitors can enter to win an elliptical machine, shirts and towels donated by G and G Fitness and LifeFitness. (Must be present to win). There also will be free water bottles for the first 100 people.

In addition to benefiting hundreds of Holley students, the PEP Grant gives the community an opportunity to get and stay in shape, according to school officials. The High School Fitness Center is open to the public Monday through Friday from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
