Walk-a-Thon planned in Hilton

Students in Hilton High School's Social Awareness classes, taught by social studies teacher Deborah Wolkenberg, are holding a five mile Walk-A-Thon on April 29. The funds raised will be donated to the Golisono Children's Hospital for the purchase of items including medical equipment, special hospital beds and workbooks for children.

"We chose April 29 because it is the Youth Day of Caring for United Way," Wolkenberg said. "Students will be walking in Hilton and we urge anyone in the community to send in donations to us for the hospital."
