Sweden celebrating Earth Day with clean-up activities

The Town of Sweden, Village of Brockport, SUNY Brockport Environmental Health and Safety Office and the SUNY Brockport Environmental Awareness Network will sponsor a Stormwater Stewardship Program on Saturday, April 23 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

The event will kick off at the Sweden/Clarkson Community Center located at 4927 Lake Road. Volunteers will be asked to gather debris along creek beds, stencil storm drains and perform other various tasks in order to improve the quality of local stormwater.

All volunteers are welcome to participate. Following the clean-up activities, the Town of Sweden will host a picnic at the Community Center. The picnic is being made possible by the generous donations of many local businesses.
