Chili putting together map, community guide
Tracy Logel, supervisor of the Town of Chili, announced the development of a new, official yourTownTM Map and Community Guide of the Town of Chili to be sent to all town households in the fall. The Town of Chili will work with Map Works, inc.
The town officials will ask the business community to fund the project with advertising on the yourTownTM map. "The project is designed to portray businesses in a positive way to the people who live, work and visit the community every day. It also offers a useful online interactive mapping tool for businesses to pinpoint their company location in the community," said Logel. "I look forward to the completion of the map and would like to thank Map Works, Inc. for their continued support of our community."
Suporting businesses will have the option to be pinpointed directly on the map of Chili and to be shown on an online map that matches the printed map. The 24 x 36 inch full color map will show all zip code boundaries, streets, landmarks and points of interest such as lodging, parks, shopping centers, industrial sites and town offices. The community information portion of the map will include a great deal of information about Chili such as local statistics, history and community events.
"The map will be mailed to all homes and sold for two years in select stores in the area. We were satisfied with our last map and are excited to be planning the new one. We are confident this much needed publication will be well-received by our residents and will be a good vehicle for us to promote our business community," said Logel.
