St. John celebrates 'Week of the Young Child'

During April the children and staff at St. John Lutheran Child Care and Preschool in Hamlin will be celebrating Week of the Young Child.

Week of the Young Child is sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) for the purpose of spotlighting public awareness on the needs of young children and their families and to acknowledge the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.

This year the theme of the Week of the Young Child is Children's Opportunities - Our Responsibilities. This year the children kicked off the celebration with a Kids Art Show on March 30. During April several businesses in the Town of Hamlin including the Hamlin Library, Nesbitt's Card and Gift, TOPS and Krony's will be displaying the children's art work. Additionally, to celebrate the children sang during the church service at St. John Lutheran Church in Hamlin on April 10.
