Bergen Water Garden offers seminars

Bergen Water Gardens, 7443 Buffalo Road, Churchville presents a series of free seminars focused on Water Gardening.

May 7 - Chop and Pot - Dividing Your Water Plants. Saturday, 9 to 10 a.m. Learn how to divide overgrown lilies, lotus and other water plants.

May 14 - Disappearing Waterfalls, a pondless water feature. Saturday, 9 to 10 a.m. Preview of the technique of building a disappearing waterfall as well as looking at one under construction at Bergen Water Gardens.

May 19 - Pond Construction - Tips on Building Your Own Pond. Thursday, 7 to 8 p.m. Location, the hole, shelves, the liner, pumps, a waterfall, dry pockets and basic maintenance will all be discussed in this program.

May 21 - Water Plants for your Pond. Saturday, 9 to 10 a.m. Basic introduction to water lilies, lotus, marginal and submerged plants for a pond.

May 28 - Pond Filtration and Fish Care. Saturday, 9 to 10 a.m. Information about filters and a Fish Emergency First Aid Kit.
