Eagle Scout rank earned Troop 292 scout
Boy Scout Troop 292 held an Eagle Scout Court of Honor on March 20 to recognize Robert Maffett for earning the rank of Eagle. The Eagle Scout Award was presented by Scoutmaster Gary Lawniczak and former Scoutmaster Gary Wumkes. Guest speakers included: assistant scoutmasters John Norsen and Steve McKeown; Committee member, Vinnie Finn; and Gay Lenhard, Ogden town supervisor.
For his Eagle Scout service project, Maffett organized a group of scouts, leaders, family and friends to prepare a site and plant a flower garden on the grounds of the Ogden Historical Society. In addition, property adjacent to the barn was cleared, regraded and reseeded. Work was completed during September, 2004. Donations were provided by Gonyo Construction, Nagle Garden Center, Harris Garden Center, Chase-Pitkin and the Ogden Historical Society.

He is a sophomore at Churchville-Chili High School.
