Winning words

Two Spencerport students are winners in the Sokol Friends of the Rochester Public Library Literary Competition. Christian Woodard won second place for his story, "Hands" and Mike Rombola received third prize for his story, "Rising Sun." The two sophomores in Eric Runion's English II Honors Class were recognized at a ceremony at the library. Both read a selection from their winning stories and were given commentary by the judge about the superlative nature of their entries. They also received $100 and $75, respectively, and plaques.
