Lions host annual convention

Close to 1,800 Lions from across the country attended the 82nd annual convention in Rochester. They attended informational seminars, visited vendor booths and took part in the Lilac parade.

A seventeen member chorus from the Merton Williams Middle School in Hilton performed for attendees. As part of the meeting, Lion Jim Schiebel, a former teacher at Merton Williams, was elected to a two-year term as President of the Lions International Trading Pin Club. The LITPC is a fellowship group of Lions Clubs international.
