Open space and farmland
conservation conference scheduled
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County will offer an interactive statewide teleconference entitled "Saving the Land for Environmental and Economic Benefit." The conference will be held live via satellite and participants can interact with presenters by phone and/or fax.
This program targets local officials, planning boards, zoning boards and interested members of the community. Panelists and experts will cover: open space planning and protection, municipal tools for open space planning, community wide open space planning and partnerships in open space protection.

The conference will be Tuesday, June 21 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Cooperative Extension, 249 Highland Avenue, Rochester.
