Hilton Board of Education
appoints new high school principal
The Hilton Board of Education has appointed Hilton High School Assistant Principal Brian Bartalo the new principal of Hilton High School effective July 1. Bartalo, 39, succeeds David Dimbleby who has been named superintendent of schools in the Hilton School District.
Assistant Principal for six years, Bartalo served as special education teacher at Hilton's Merton Williams Middle School for 10 years. He is a graduate of SUNY College at Buffalo and holds a M.S. in Education from Syracuse University.
"Following a rigorous search and interview process, Bartalo has been selected as the next principal of Hilton High School," Dimbleby said. "I am confident that he will continue the traditions that the school holds so dear and lead HHS in its ongoing pursuit for excellence and student success."
"Over the past several years, we have seen an improvement in the culture and climate of the high school which is more positive and student-focused. Students have a greater voice in activities and there has been a steady increase in academic achievement," Bartalo said.
