Sweden Farmers Museum seeks donations

The Sweden Farmers Museum committee is seeking donations of historical artifacts related to farming in the local community and any historical artifacts related to the Town of Sweden. The committee is also seeking the donation of wooden display cases to house artifacts.

Agriculture is one of the cornerstones of Sweden's past. The preservation of this agricultural history is one of the town's priorities as set out in the comprehensive plan. Several local historians and farmers are members of the museum committee.

The committee is making use of the former caretaker's residence at Lakeview Cemetery located on Route 19 just south of Route 31 to establish a local farmers museum. The building will also provide office space for the Sweden Historian.
