Award winning student

Marie Campanaro, left, a Spanish teacher at Spencerport's Cosgrove Middle School, poses with student Robin Quataert, who won the Fulvi Love of Language Award given by the New York State Association of Foreign Language Teachers. This award, which is accompanied by a $50 savings bond, is granted to only one eighth grade language student in the state each year. The winner must exhibit exceptional academic performance in all subjects as well as in a second language and must also demonstrate the importance of language study outside of the classroom.
