Spencerport Fire Department welcomes members

The Spencerport Volunteer Fire Department welcomed Robert Rotolo, Tim Ekstrom, Chris Gath, Jason Schumaker and Kelly Christie into its membership.

These five individuals completed the department's training classes to become qualified as interior firefighters. The training they received consists of auto extrication, live fire tactics, scba mask confidence, ventilation and many other important skills. These firefighters will be going to the county training center, to be trained in the Firefighter I class, in the fall of 2005.

Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter can call 352-6115 to stop by Station 1 at 175 Lyell Avenue in the village for an application.
