The University of Rochester has announced the following students have achieved the dean's list for the spring 2005 semester:

Trevor Zachary DiMarco, a freshman majoring in mechanical engineering. DiMarco, a resident of Spencerport, is the son of Donald and Cheryl Royce, and a graduate of Spencerport High School;

Erin Marie Fox, a freshman majoring in environmental sciences. Fox, a resident of Spencerport, is the daughter of Jon and Nancy Fox and a graduate of Spencerport High School.


Two local graduates were awarded the George H. Scheible Memorial Printing Awards presented annually by the Flower City Printing Co. for their outstanding work in both printing and the graphic arts.

Each of the recipients were awarded $250 and presented an engraved plaque. They were: Devin Jessop of Churchville and James R. Wegner a graduate of Hilton High School.


Brett V. Kintz of Hilton has achieved the dean's list at SUNY College at Brockport for spring 2005. He is a 2002 graduate of Hilton High School and is the son of Earl and Roberta Kintz.


Nataliya Lysenko of Hamlin has achieved the dean's list at SUNY College at Brockport for spring 2005. She is a 1998 graduate of Ukrainian High School and is the daughter of Zenoviga and Victor Lysenko.


Brittany Sue Solt from Brockport High School has received a $1,000 Sam M. Walton Community Scholarship.


Sara R. Tully of Rochester has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2005 semester at St. Lawrence University.

Tully graduated from Spencerport High School.


Gabrielle M. Plucknette of Spencerport has been named to the dean's list for the spring quarter at Rochester Institute of Technology. A second-year student in RIT's School of Photographic Arts and Sciences, she is studying photo journalism. Plucknette is the daughter of Thomas Plucknette and Deborah Weller-Plucknette and a 2003 graduate of Spencerport High School.


Lisa Fitzsimmons, daughter of Thomas and Sharon Fitzsimmons of Churchville, a 2003 graduate of Churchville-Chili High School, has been named to the spring 2005 dean's list at St. John Fisher College. She is a sophomore accounting major.


Amy Fitzsimmons, daughter of Thomas and Sharon Fitzsimmons of Churchville, a 2003 graduate of Churchville-Chili High School, has been named to the spring 2005 dean's list at St. John Fisher College. She is a junior education major.


Melayne Karnitz has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2005 semester at Wells College. She is the daughter of Michael and Deborah Karnitz of Brockport.


The following students were named to the dean's list at St. Bonaventure University for the spring 2005 semester.

Melissa J. Weise, a senior majoring in education/special education. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Weise of Spencerport;

Jessica L. Bartock, a freshman majoring in biology. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David M. Bartock of Spencerport;

Kaitlyn E. Keidel of Churchville is a freshman majoring in elementary education/special education. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Keidel;

Sara E. Maurer of North Chili, a junior majoring in journalism/mass communication. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Maurer;

Ryan J. Shannon of Brockport, a sophomore majoring in political science. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Shannon.


Christine Walker of Brockport has achieved the dean's list at SUNY College at Brockport for both the fall 2004 and spring 2005 semesters. She is a 2004 graduate of Brockport High School and is the daughter of William and Eleanor Walker.


For 41 years Ralph Harper has awarded scholarships to two outstanding high school seniors to pursue a college degree in the field of agriculture, environment, or home economics. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County has announced the selection of Kristy Ellsworth of Hilton and David Hull of Spencerport as the recipients of the Harper Scholarship Award for the 2004-2005 academic year.


Hilton resident Gareth Schuth graduated from Messiah College on May 14. Schuth graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in music education. Schuth also graduated with departmental honors and was a part of the College Honors program.


Brockport resident Erin Corbett was named to the dean's list for the 2005 spring semester at Messiah College. Corbett is a sophomore majoring in communication.


Roberts Wesleyan College announced the following students were named to the dean's list for spring 2005.

Kimberly Ann Root graduated with distinction, from Monroe Community College in December 2004. She was on the dean's list all five semesters and is a member of Pi Lambda Theta International Honor Society and Professional Association in Education.

She is the daughter of Lauri Roland Root and Scott Root, both of Spencerport. She is attending SUNY Geneseo, majoring in elementary and special education.


Colleen Alisa McCall, daughter of Larry and Diane McCall of Hamlin, received her bachelor of arts degree from Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida on May 15 graduating summa cum laude with a major in theater arts and minor in communications.

•From Spencerport - Derrick Belkin.


Joan Greeno, associate broker of Nothnagle Realtor's Chili/Ogden Office, was honored with Lister of the Month Award. Greeno had a total of seven listings for May 2005. She is a member of the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors (GRAR) and the Rochester-area Women's Council of Realtors (WCR). During her real estate career, she has received numerous other awards, including GRAR's Sales Master and Sales Master Gold awards, WCR's Pinnacle Award for outstanding commitment and service, and Nothnagle's coveted "Top 25" award.

Greeno resides in North Chili with her husband, Larry, vice president for Planned Giving at Roberts Wesleyan College. They have four grown children and eight grandchildren.


Marine Corps Pfc. John Sciarratta, son of Ray Sciarratta of Greece and Jacqueline Sciarratta of Hamlin, is serving with Alpha Company 3/25, stationed in Iraq.

Sciarratta, who enlisted in the Marines in July 2004, is a 2003 graduate of Brockport High School


Army Reserve Spec. Brandon J. Willit is currently deployed overseas at a forward operating location in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Willit, a mental health specialist with one year of military service, is normally assigned to the 334th Combat Support Hospital, Fort Totten, New York

He is the son of Jeffrey H. and Patricia Willit of Rochester and is a 2003 graduate of Spencerport High School.
