C-C student competing in Empire State games
Liz Zorn, a student/athlete at Churchville-Chili High School, will be participating in the Empire state games in Poughkeepsie on July 27 through July 31. She will be competing on the western scholastic girls ice hockey team for the third consecutive year after serving as an alternate as an eighth grader in 2002.
Zorn has also been a member of the varsity soccer team that has won three consecutive sectional championships. Zorn plays hockey during the regular season for the Rochester Edge club team and was the leading scorer for the team during the 2004-2005 season with 98 goals, 100 assists and 198 total points in 74 total games. The Edge finished their regular season with an undefeated record during league play and won their playoff championship in the Southwestern Ontario League for the second consecutive season.
Zorn, who just completed her junior year at Churchville-Chili, is a high honor roll student and was awarded the most outstanding female student for the junior class by the Churchville-Chili high school faculty and staff.
