Ogden gets new sidewalk

Walking along Route 259 to access Pineway Ponds Park in the Town of Ogden will be safer once the installation of a sidewalk running from Canal Road to Clearview Drive is complete.

According to Dave Widger, town highway superintendent, the municipality received a grant from Senator George Maziarz and Assemblyman Bill Reilich's office of close to $100,000 for the installation of the sidewalk.

"The grant helps us address a safety concern and lets us put in the sidewalk," Widger said.

It is anticipated that the installation will be complete in time for Spencerport's Canal Days July 30 and 31.
