Ten lucky winners will receive great prizes at the BISCO/Lakeside Health System Annual Duck Derby to take place as part of the Brockport Summer Arts Festival, August 13 and 14. The Duck Derby will be held on Sunday, August 14 at 4 p.m. at the Main Street Canal Bridge. The first five ducks and last five to cross the finish line will win one of these prizes: an 18' pool package from TRS Pools; a $1,000 gift certificate from Wegmans in Brockport; a $500 shopping spree from The Bon Ton; three vacation packages - a $1,000 travel certificate or $500 cash, a $600 travel certificate or $300 cash and a $400 travel certificate or $200 cash; a Silver Table at Lakeside's Gala Dinner; a car care package with certificates from Firestone, Buckman's Car Wash, Brad Alexander's Mobil On The Run, Monro Muffler Brake and Midas Muffler; a Family Fun Package with certificates to Chianti's Italian Eatery, Six Flags Darien Lake, Village Hair Designers, Adventure Landing, Main Street Pizzeria and Cobble Creek Farm; a His & Hers Package with certificates from Red Osier, The Apple Tree Inn, Tea for Two Antiques, Battisti's Salon, Danny's Equipment, Lynn's Floral and Victorian Bed & Breakfast. Kelly Lewis, owner of State Farm Insurance on Main Street in Brockport, won the "King for a Day" prize at last year's event. "I have two boys, and we really enjoyed the pizza and McDonald's coupons, Red Wings and Rhinos games and all the great family entertainment certificates in the package. As a community member and a business owner, I was thrilled to know that the ticket sales benefit the hospital, where my boys were born, as well as BISCO," stated Lewis. She was so impressed with the event, she now serves on the Duck Derby Planning Committee. Duck tickets are on sale at Lakeside Foundation or through any service club member.
