Parma plans summer celebration

The Town of Parma celebrates its annual Park it in Parma summer celebration on Friday, August 5 from 6 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, August 6 from 4 to 11 p.m. A variety of live entertainment, games and more than 20 food and activity booths have been planned.

Friday highlights a Cruise-In Auto Show, opportunities to ride a mechanical bull, barbecue rib dinner, the band Me & The Boyz and fireworks at 9:15 p.m. Saturday the town has scheduled their annual Pole Vault Competition, a "Chuck-A-Duck" contest, a chicken barbecue, the band Rumors and the grand fireworks display, again at 9:15 p.m.

Throughout the weekend, Hilton Select Basketball will be hosting a 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament and more than 50 families have made reservations to camp at town park. Admission and parking to Park it in Parma is free.
