Student singers
Fourth and fifth-graders from Brockport's Fred W. Hill Elementary School are preparing for a performance in the American Choral Directors New York Honor Choir in Buffalo, during the New York State Summer Music Conference. The students are members of a singing group called the Hilltop Singers. Students will go to Buffalo for two days of rehearsals with guest conductor Emily Ellsworth, well-known composer and conductor of the Glen Ellyn Children's Choir in Chicago. The concert, in the ballroom of the Buffalo Convention Center on Tuesday, August 9 at noon, will feature six pieces of children's choral literature.
