Arc of Orleans event changed
The Arc of Orleans County is announcing a change in the program for it's annual signature series dinner. Due to the recent passing of her son, Hunter, Jill Kelly, CEO of Hunter's Hope Foundation, will not be able to attend. Kelly was slated to receive The Arc's Legacy of Love Leadership Award for the work she has done and continues to do through Hunter's Hope Foundation fighting the fatal disease called Krabbe Leukodystrophy. Kelly will receive her award at a later date.
The Arc's fourth annual event featuring "Mark Twain Live" takes place Saturday, September 10 at the Holiday Inn, Batavia. Mike Randall will perform this nationally acclaimed one-man show as he had done throughout North America since 1972. Randall is the official "Mark Twain" of The Annual Huck Finn Jubilee in Victorville, California and the Annual Mark Twain Birthday Bash and Symposium in Buffalo. Randall is the chief meteorologist for WKBW Channel 7 in Buffalo. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Legacy of Love Arc Endowment, a fund that was established to ensure that the organization's lifetime commitment to men, women and children with developmental disabilities is sustained for generations to come.
