Apple Fest stamp cancellation

The Hilton Post Office will issue a commemorative postmark in honor of the Hilton Apple Fest, celebrating its 25th anniversary. The event will be Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2 on the Community Center grounds, 59 Henry Street. Postal personnel will apply the postmark to any item bearing first-class postage; the hand cancellation will be done in a temporary post office set up in the Historian's Office in the Community Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. To order the postmark by mail, write to: Apple Fest Station, Office Services, US Postal Service, 25 South Avenue, Hilton, NY, 14468-9998. Enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope for return. The Post Office will continue to provide hand cancellation with this postmark for the remainder of the month of October at its main facility on South Avenue.
