School District inducts four into Hall of Fame

Byron-Bergen Central School District, in partnership with the Byron-Bergen Educational Foundation, recognized four graduates at the third annual Alumni Hall of Fame Recognition Induction Ceremony on Friday, September 9. Inductees recognized were Russell Gillett, Class of 1945; Richard Glazier, Class of 1954; Sharon Bidwell, Class of 1966; and Amy Mercovich, Class of 1989.

The Byron-Bergen Alumni Hall of Fame was established in 2003. Supporting the board's goal of celebrating accomplishments and successes throughout the learning community, the purpose of the Alumni Hall of Fame is two-fold: to recognize the vast array of achievements and contributions of the district's graduates to society, and to provide students with positive role models.
