Downs, Carol Ann, September 13, 2005 at age 37; daughter of Viola Davie Downs of Bergen and the late Ira Downs; mother of Jason Downs of Bergen; sister of Timothy Downs, John (Deborah) Downs and Michael Downs, all of Bergen; aunt of Sheenamarie Downs of Bergen; also survived by aunts and uncles.
Funeral Services were held September 16 at H. E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, Bergen. Donations can be made to Bergen Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 428, Bergen 14416, American Cancer Society, 101 John James Aububon Parkway West, Amherst, NY 14228 or a charity of one's choice in her memory.
BROCKPORT
Caves, Herbert Russell, Age 77, died September 8, 2005. He was predeceased by his daughter, Marianne. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean; his daughters, Wendy (Brian) Fairchild of Cortland, Kathryn (Gillis) Sperry of Bedford, New Hampshire; son, Gary R. Caves of Brockport; four grandchildren, Dustin W. Fairchild of Laurel, Maryland, Emily E. Fairchild of Ithaca, Lindsey E. Sperry and Joseph R. Sperry of Bedford, New Hampshire; sister, Ardis Ernisee of Spencerport; brother, Lloyd R. Caves of Webster; nieces, nephews, cousins, loving family and friends.
A Memorial Service was held September 12 at the Brockport United Methodist Church. Private Interment. Contributions can be made to the Seymour Library or a charity of one's choice in his memory.
HAMLIN
Knight, Gage Thanos, Suddenly, Monday, September 12, 2005. He is survived by his parents, Brandon Knight, Sondra Schueler, and his paternal grandparents, Gary and Francesca Knight; his maternal grandparents, John and Ann Schueler; aunts, Deborah C. Coffey, Linda Beaudanza, Staci, Brittany, and Shelly Knight; uncle, Stephen Coffey; several cousins and other relatives.
Funeral Service and interment were private.
HILTON
Chiras, Mary F. "Eaton," age 78, of Stuart, Florida, died September 8, 2005. Mrs. Chiras moved to Stuart 12 years ago from Hilton. She was an active volunteer with Martin Memorial Medical Center, she was a registered nurse and a homemaker. Survivors include three sons; Stanley J. Chiras of Waynesboro, Tennessee, Daniel D. Chiras of Evergreen, Colorado, James P. Chiras and his wife, Nancy Coyne Chiras of Hobe Sound, Florida; former husband, Stanley J. Chiras of Palm City; two grandsons, Skyler and Forrest Chiras of Evergreen, Colorado and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service was held September 13 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City. Judd, Marilyn D., died September 9, 2005. She was predeceased by her husband, Roger (1999) and her son, Tom-Allen Judd, (1990). Survived by her mother, Mildred Woods; children, Brenda Johnson, Linda Judd, Tim Judd (Al Agricoltoso), Kellie (William) Hudson and Kevin Judd; brothers, Richard (Carole) and Wesley Butcher; sister, Myrtle Wigen; brother-in-law, Burton (Patricia) Judd; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Service in Celebration of her Life was held September 12 at Hilton Baptist Church. Private interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Donations can be made to Hilton Baptist Church, Memorial Fund or Leah Chapter O.E.S. #183 in her memory.
Muir, Richard B., age 67. Predeceased by his parents, John "Jack" and Phyllis Muir; brother-in-law, John Capuano. Survived by his children, Donna (David) LaFontaine, Jennifer (John) Smith, John L. Muir, Richard B. (Murae) Muir II; sisters, Frances "Tina" (Anthony) Giardina, Patricia Capuano; mother of his children, Gail C. Muir; grandchildren, Ryan and Adam Werner, William and Tiffany Smith, Abigail, Catherine, Grace, Ella, Lily and Avan, Muir; many nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Syracuse University and received his law degree from Syracuse Law School. He was a practicing attorney in the Rochester and Hilton communities for over 40 years.
Funeral Services were held September 12 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Donations can be made to Parma Public Library in his memory.
KENT
Bouman, Dr. Carroll C., age 63, died unexpectedly at her home on September 7, 2005. She had lived in this area for the past ten years. Carroll was a member of the Downtown United Presbyterian Church of Rochester, and had been an Instructor at the University of Rochester School of Nursing. Later she served as an Associate Professor of Nursing at the State University College at Brockport. She is survived by her sons, Dr. Peter (Dr. Carrine) Bouman II of Portland, Maine, Jeffrey S. Bouman of New York City and Jonathan D. Bouman of Saranac Lake; her brother, Frank (Barbara) Conner of Williamsport, Pennsylvania; nephews, Michael Conner (Sherry Cornell) and David Conner (Iana Conner).
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania.
OGDEN
Polco, Marian E. (Oppel), September 13, 2005 at age 80. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Mitchell Polco; her sons Gary Polco of North Carolina and Robert Polco of Ogden; her sisters-in-law Marge Oppel of Penfield, Kay Caffyn of Palmyra, Mary Haak of Palmyra, Victoria (James) Moran of Macedon, Helen Polco of Florida, Ann Anderson of Utah and Rose (James) Dobbler of Manchester; her niece Susan (Steve) Cipolla of Fairport; several cousins. She was predeceased by her brother William Paul Oppel Jr.
Funeral Services and interment were at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to the Spencerport Volunteer Ambulance in her memory.
