In late August, area elected officials and Ogden Parks and Recreation Director Eric Bacon celebrated the completed construction of a sidewalk from Canal Road to Pineway Ponds Park. Attending the official ribbon cutting were NYS Assemblyman Bill Reilich, Senator George Maziarz, Ogden Supervisor Gay Lenhard, Ogden Superintendent of Highways Dave Widger and Eric Bacon. Reilich called the new sidewalk, which was funded through grants secured by Senator Maziarz and himself, as The Pathway to the Park. Safer access to the park is hoped for with the use of the walkway.
