sponsors poster contest

The second annual Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Poster Contest is being sponsored by the Walk, Bike, Brockport Action Group in October.

As a way of encouraging individuals to review the rules for pedestrian and bicycle safety, the group is sponsoring a poster contest in grades Kindergarten through five. Posters, which depict a bicycle or pedestrian safety rule in action, will be judged, based on the poster's effectiveness in portraying the safety rule.

Judges will award prizes at each level, and winners will be announced on November 7. Winning entries will be displayed in the Brockport Village Office and the Sweden Town Hall.

The Walk, Bike, Brockport Action Group encourages parents, teachers, and all community members to review walking and biking safety rules often.
