Gymkhana event raises funds

The 2005 Gymkhana event raised over $2,000 to benefit Lakeside Memorial Hospital. Participants competed in a series of timed horseback events. Speed classes included arena run, pole bending, straight and clover leaf barrels, key hole, and Texas t-race in both junior and senior divisions. The winners in this year's events were: Senior Champion: Shawna Erdmann, Junior Champion: Krystal Thorsby, Junior Reserve: Toni Sciacchitano, Over 40 Champion: Kathy Napier, Over 40 Reserve: Ann Yockel. Participating and sponsoring businesses included Manitou Hill Farms, Abbott's Frozen Custard, Bob Kaiser Repair, Carbone's Pizzeria, ESL Federal Credit Union, Furnal's Big M, Valley Vet Supply, Genesee Valley Equine, Jan Miller of Shoreline Design, Mariah Meadows, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Nash, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Jansen, Ms. Pat Urschel, Ryan's Big M, Spencerport Country Max, Wal-Mart Store #01-19, and Z's Automotive.
