Newman Riga Library contest winners chosen

Erin Casey, Claire Benson and Elizabeth Patanella were winners of the Newman Riga Library's Treasures of the Earth contest. The three contestants participated in a library contest that required them to correctly guess as many of 25 "natural treasures" as they could. The items consisted of things as obvious as snail shells and ladybugs, and as obscure as jade, ivory and cicada shells.

Winners received books donated by an anonymous donor who continually provides gifts and prizes for area children. The library holds this contest on an annual basis.

The Newman Riga Library is located at the intersection of Buffalo Road and Main Street in the heart of the village of Churchville.
