New walking, biking brochure available

A guide for "Walking and Biking Around Brockport" has been published by the Village of Brockport and the Town of Sweden with the assistance of a grant from the NYS Certified Local Government program. The brochure is a revision and expansion of the "Walking Tour of Brockport" guide that was published in 2000.

The new guide includes an updated, corrected and more complete description of five walks in the village and adds three trails out of the village from the Main Street bridge. The North Trail goes to Clarkson Corners and back with a portion along Ridge Road. The East Trail is a route along the south berm of the Erie Canal to Owens Road, South Avenue and Main Street. The West Trail goes on the canal towpath to Redman Road, south to New Campus Drive and returns to the Main Street bridge through the campus and village.

Copies of the guide are available to the Village Hall, 49 State Street and Town Hall, 18 State Street.
